I saw this on Instagram @fatquartershop today and thought this is so me! Do you sew with your shoes on or off? I just have to feel the pedal with my toes to get my speed right!
Welcome to "In The Boon Docks"! The wait is over it is finally my week in the blog hop. I have made lots of new good friends. Thank you Beth from plume and june this has been a great experience meeting other bloggers and learning more about being one with terrific tips and tricks from seasoned veteran of the internet. Unbelievable resources from the best. I have enjoyed the last seven weeks tremendously. Again, Thank you! So what do I blog about at "In The Boon Docks"? Everything! I will give you a little sampling of my life here! I hope you enjoy it! This beautiful buck stood maybe 30 feet away as I snapped pictures of him eating his dinner off my back porch! "Rusty" the rooster is a free ranger. He has 2 hens and 2 chicks that run our outdoor property. We have three hens that should be laying starting in August for fresh eggs! These ladies live in a hen house built for them raised from chicks by me and David. We grow a garden and help my h
Thanks you Madame Samm Sew We Quilt! and Erin Sew At Home Mummy for being the best cheerleaders in the world. Madame Samm I love how you keep thinking up great hops! You keep us challenged, that is for sure! I love "Stitching On Prints" it is so fun! I tried out DMC Cotton Perle, Aurifil, and a pack of cheap stuff with great colors. The Cotton Perle is inexpensive and works pretty well. The cheap stuff is awful it is hard to pull through the fabric and I will not buy again. The Aurifil is just right. I hope to get more and start "Stitching On Print" a series. Where we work together once a week and learn stitches. I love the effect in the mug rug. April Showers Blog Hop Day 1! These are the Blogger for April 8, 2013. The April Showers Blog Hop is from April 8 - 18, 2013. Please stop by and give a comment for all their hard work. Let's talk thread! As Quilters and Sewers - thread binds everything we create together. Some will say the most important item is fabric, spend the extra on fabric, I say buy the best thread! Cheap cotton threads breaks and rots after a few years. Have a problem with your thread breaking try a spool of Aurifil 50 wt. thread! It may just cure it! Just a side note - if you have old thread that was given to you, use it as a decoration don't use it in your machine. Never buy old thread for sewing, it will just cause you a lot of frustration. When I needed a bag to hold my smaller rulers, I chose Aurifil 50 wt thread to zig zag the bag because it is strong and durable! I use white to sew almost everything light colored and that includes topstitching. I went back months searching my most used color and go figure it is Aurifil 50 wt. thread #2021, Natural White! It only goes to say that my other most used color of Aurifil 50 wt. thread is #2692, Black! Sometimes topstitching
I'm definitely a shoes-off girl! I don't mind having my socks on so I can feel the pedal, but those shoes are kicked off at the door!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be pressing too hard on the pedal if I kept my shoes on!
ReplyDeleteShoes off in the summer, but in the winter my feet can't handle the tile floor.
ReplyDeleteSocks or bare feet depending on the weather, I hardly ever wear shoes in the house and wouldn't outside if it was feasible.
ReplyDeleteShoes off - barefoot or socks - but shoes OFF.
ReplyDeleteBarefoot! I thought it was just me. Glad to hear I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteNo shoes here either.
ReplyDeleteI always wear shoes or sandals. I've stepped on one too many pins to risk going barefoot.
ReplyDeleteShoes off! I can't get a good feel for the pedal with shoes on.
